The Guelph running community is large and broad. That’s why the Guelph Mercury dubbed our city “the running capital of Canada.” Here are some other groups that have a connection to the Victors.

  • Eramosa River Trail parkrun: the weekly 5K timed run (photo above) that began in 2019 — open to runners, walkers, kids, families and even pets
  • Boathouse Bandits: an informal group that does regular, weekly runs
  • Lager Joggers: a Wednesday evening running group that always includes a local pub as their destination
  • Bar Toads: an informal, friendly group that runs 3–4 days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays, with social and activities planned throughout the year (this group’s membership overlaps with both the Victors and the Bandits)
  • Up and Running: a learn-to-run group for women experiencing depression
  • Start to Finish / Reading and Running: a local volunteer organization that integrates learning English with running for local public school children (volunteers always wanted)
  • Guelph Triathlon Club: many Victors are also triathletes, relying on the GTC for coaching advice and training companionship
  • The Running Works: we enjoy a close affiliation with this running store, located in the heart of the city and beside many of our favourite running trails
  • Royal City Athletics: a club dedicated to developing young athletes in several different track and field activities
