The Guelph running community is large and broad. That’s why the Guelph Mercury dubbed our city “the running capital of Canada.” Here are some other groups that have a connection to the Victors.

  • Boathouse Bandits: an informal group that does regular, weekly runs
  • Lager Joggers: a Wednesday evening running group that always includes a local pub as their destination
  • Up and Running: a learn-to-run group for women experiencing depression
  • Start to Finish / Reading and Running: a local volunteer organization that integrates learning English with running for local public school children (volunteers always wanted)
  • Speed River Track and Field Club: Guelph’s premier club for elite and varsity athletes also runs programs for kids and teens
  • Guelph Triathlon Club: many Victors are also triathletes, relying on the GTC for coaching advice and training companionship
  • The Running Works: we enjoy a close affiliation with this running store, located in the heart of the city and beside many of our favourite running trails
  • Running Room Guelph: this local south-end store is part of the country’s largest chain of running stores (the Guelph store offers group runs on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm and Sunday mornings at 8:30 am – contact them for details).
  • Speed River Timing: the Guelph-based race timing business run by John Marsden
  • Runner’s Bootcamp: the Guelph based core and plyometrics workout group run by David Brooks
