Coaching

The Guelph Victors workouts are supervised by a number of experienced volunteers. The workouts are created to be suitable for runners of all abilities, with input and structure from experienced coaches.

Colin Hardy is our current Victors club coach. He led us through a great indoor track season this past winter and is looking forward to starting outdoor track sessions.

Colin has been an active runner most of his life.  Finding his love of running while cross-training on his high-school rowing team, he quickly switched over to running track and cross country.

Colin joined the Victors in 2019 to become part of the wider running community, and to give back to the sport that he so much enjoys. He is currently completing training in the Athletics Canada Coaching program. Colin’s university study is in Biomedical Science with a focus on anatomy and physiology.

Colin enjoys following the professional running scene, making an effort to keep up to date with as many professional races, runners, and results as he can! Outside of running, Colin is an avid hockey, baseball, and Formula 1 fan, and his work in clinical research focuses on kidney disease and its relation to heart disease.

At least one Victors coach will attend each club-sponsored workout. You are free to ask them for tips on training, pacing, form or race strategy – they won’t offer unsolicited coaching advice!
