Who can be a Guelph Victor? Any runner who’s looking to improve their fitness. Our club isn’t for first-timers, however – we don’t offer learn-to-run groups. But it is for any speed or age of athlete who can already run 5–10 kilometres comfortably, and wants to get better.
Learn-to-run clinics are operated year-round in Guelph by the Running Works and Running Room stores. As well, there is a new program now offered in Guelph for women experiencing depression who would like to learn to run: Up and Running.
We offer group training sessions 2–3 times per week to supplement your own individual runs. (Workouts are designed and supervised by Victors coaches for the whole group.) We’re a community, of diverse ages, backgrounds and experiences. Your running will improve, and you’ll make some new friends too.
Newcomers: We have an annual membership fee of $50/$35 students, due in the spring, but there is no fee until then, except for a special charge if you want to participate in our 10-week, indoor workout series ($50/$35 students), Jan. 11—Mar. 15 . If you want to join the Victors, just show up at one of our scheduled workouts, along with a copy of this waiver form — give it to Art, Mary Catherine, Brad or Wendy.
